Umeshu description:
Choya’s longest-aged expression, matured for eighteen years and bottled with the lightest of touch to preserve its natural depth. Presented in the world’s first lacquer-painted glass bottle, hand-decorated by an urushi artisan using traditional techniques, it is a rare and limited creation that feels as much an heirloom as a liqueur. A century of umeshu mastery distilled into a single, unhurried pour.
Tasting Notes:
Choya Urushi 18-Year Ume Umeshu: Deep amber and richly aromatic, with ripe ume, dried apricot and candied plum over gentle toasty cask notes. Velvety and concentrated, with layered sweetness, softened tartness and a fine, mellow astringency. The finish is long and melting, with a lingering note of aged fruit. Serve neat or lightly chilled.
Food pairing: Meat dish
