International Wine Challenge 2024 Resuts Are In!

The International Wine Challenge (IWC), the world's most influential and rigorously judged global wine competition, has revealed the results of its 2024 event, marking its 40th anniversary.

Since its inception in 2007, the SAKE division has seen tremendous growth, becoming the largest and most influential sake competition outside Japan. The IWC awards medals, recognizes champion sake, highlights great value sake, and honors the sake brewer of the year, all based on quality. Its mission is to support the global development of sake.

Participation in the IWC offers breweries a chance to benchmark their products against peers worldwide, gain extensive free publicity, enhance their brand's profile among consumers and traders, and boost sales using the prestigious IWC medal logos.

Try Bronze Award-Winning Sake

Kameizumi Junmai Ginjo Genshu Kouiku No.63, a bronze medalist, exemplifies the terroir of Kochi prefecture with its locally sourced rice, water, and yeast. Slow fermentation at low temperatures results in fruit-forward aromas. The special Kochi yeast AA41, known for producing Isoamyl acetate, imparts delightful melon and banana notes often found in ginjo sake. This soft and mellow sake pairs beautifully with sushi and sashimi.
