Wine description :

This wine has a refreshing citrus and herbal aroma, a youthful, sparkling acidity, and a gentle fruity aftertaste. It has just the right amount of body, and a refined bitterness that brings the whole thing together.

Slightly dark greenish yellow. Good clarity. Healthy appearance. Medium viscosity.

The volume is medium. The top nose has the aroma of grapefruit, which is the varietal aroma, followed by fruit aromas of lemon, lime, melon, and white peach. Swirling it spreads the aroma of green herbs, sage, and white asparagus.

A clean attack. The strong, sharp acidity develops from the middle, and is well balanced with the delicious fruitiness, giving it a long-lasting flavor. The minerality is also clearly felt, and the pleasant bitterness in the aftertaste adds an accent.                  A medium-light-bodied, dry wine with an elegant style that you will never tire of drinking.

It goes well with all kinds of seafood, such as white fish sashimi like sea bream or flounder, seafood ajillo, and tempura.

Year 2021
In stark contrast to the bountiful harvest of 2020, 2021 was a year plagued by rainfall. There was frost damage in April, and the harvest fell to about half of the average. Although there was an impact from the long rains in August, the effect of sheltering from the rain meant that grapes with a relatively high sugar content were harvested.

Kyoto Tamba Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc is very rarely grown in Japan. Tamba Wine's Sauvignon Blanc is characterized by a tropical, full-bodied flavor that is unique to warm regions.
The harvest season is relatively early, with the entire harvest being harvested in the latter half of August. It is also a variety that we ask everyone to help us with every year's harvest festival.
