Sake description :
Saito Shuzo is the multi award winning brewery famous for their super premium brand EIKUN which has won the gold medal 14 years running at the new sake competition.
Otaka is the original brand for Saito Shuzo before Eikun was born. This time, Saito Shuzo's concept is 100% made in Kyoto. The rice is up to 60% polished Kyoto's original invented & grown Iwai rice. Water is Kyoto's famous soft water Shiragikusui which makes this sake taste soft & mellow. Also, the great hawk seen on the label is originally taken from the wall picture at Nijo Castle. This is a typical Kyoto Fushimi style Onna Sake (female sake): lightly fruity aroma, gentle impact, soft on palate & well balanced semi dry taste. Great gift Idea for sake beginners. Drinking at room temperature is the best throughout the year.

大鷹は英勲が生まれる前の齋藤酒造のオリジナル銘柄です。今回の齋藤酒造のコンセプトは100%京都産。お米は京都独自に考案・栽培された岩井米を60%精米。水は京都の名水「白菊水」を使用しており、まろやかな味わいです。また、ラベルに描かれている大鷹は二条城の壁画から引用したものです。軽くフルーティーな香り、穏やかなインパクト、柔らかな口当たり、バランスの取れたセミドライの味わいの典型的な京都伏見流女酒です。日本酒初心者へのギフトに最適です。一年を通して常温で飲むのが一番美味しいです。
