Why Celebrate Sake?

为何要庆祝清酒日呢？

Sake Day is celebrated every year on the 1st of October, when Japan and the world join together to cheer the sake industry. The event used to be regarded as only a national event in Japan, since October 1 is traditionally the starting date of sake production in the country. However, nowadays Sake Day has morphed from being a small event only known to the sake industry into a day for people in and outside of Japan to celebrate together.

每年的10月1日是清酒节，日本和世界各国都在这一天共同为清酒产业喝彩。10月1日是日本传统的清酒生产开始日，过去只是在行业内庆祝，然而，如今清酒节已经从一个只有清酒行业知道的小事件演变成日本国内外人们一起庆祝的节日。

Sake is deeply rooted in Japanese culture and local communities as well. Even today, it is still part of celebrations and all types of gatherings, from weddings to anniversaries to even getting a new job. However, sake is so much more than that. Those working in this industry are passionate and extremely dedicated, working long hours, getting up in the middle of the night to check on the koji, and paying amazing attention to details to ensure the product brings joy to consumers.

清酒深深扎根于日本文化和当地社会。即使在今天，它仍然是所有庆祝活动不可或缺的一部分，从婚礼到周年纪念日甚至是找一份新工作。然而，清酒远不止于此。在这个行业工作的人充满激情，非常敬业，长时间工作，半夜起床检查曲，对细节出奇的关注，以确保产品给消费者带来快乐。
