Juicy Strawberry Umeshu

Not Just Umeshu But a Sweet Treat As Well


This strawberry umeshu is made from roughly pulped, mashed strawberries and umeshu made exclusively from Nanko plums from Wakayama Prefecture. The strawberries used are fully ripe Kishigawa strawberries, the top strawberry brand in the local Wakayama Prefecture. The refreshing sourness of the ume liqueur is accompanied by a slight sweet aroma of strawberries.


The sourness and sweetness are well intertwined and well balanced. And with plenty of strawberry juice, it's a satisfying treat for strawberry lovers too!



As well as the standard on the rocks as it is, adding milk (condensed milk) to sweeten the drink makes it richer and is recommended for those who like sweet drinks. You can get creative with it, and make an ice cream float too! Just follow the steps below.


  1. Fill the glass half full with ice.
  2. Pour in the strawberry umeshu until it reaches about two-thirds of the glass.
  3. Pour in the soda water.
  4. Gently top with ice cream.
  5. Top with strawberries and you're done!
