It is Koshu which which stored "Kaiso (seaweed) shochu Isokko" until ripened fully with an oak barrel. The sprite that is alive in an oak barrel just accomplished transformation in an amber figure to "a spirit of Father Neptune (wadatsumi)" to mean "God of Sea" that controlled the ocean after the distillation for a long term. Rather than shochu, it may be a sense such as whiskey and brandy.
