This is a liqueur with a strong acidic taste, made only from kabosu (a type of citrus fruit) grown in Oita Prefecture. Kabosu is often used in cooking and beverages in Oita Prefecture, and is about three times the size of sudachi (citrus fruit). It is a fruit of the citrus family characterized by its elegant sourness and aroma.
Suppai Kabosu is best served on the rocks or mixed with soda. It is also delicious when added in small amounts to barley shochu or sake.
